Auditor's Office - What We Do: The County Auditor is in charge of the accounting functions for the county. These include accounts payable, payroll, maintaining capital asset records, processing liquor license applications, preparing monthly and annual financial reports, and calculating tax levies. The Auditor serves as the clerk for the County Commission, and minutes of Commission proceedings are stored permanently in the Auditor's office. Election duties include voter registration, adjusting precinct boundaries as needed, securing polling places, ballot preparation, programming Express Votes and ballot scanners, appointing and training election officials, counting ballots and reporting election results, and issuing certificates of election.
