2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of our partnership with the South Dakota Air National Guard. The Air Guard Division continues to play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of Joe Foss Field. Their responsibilities include access management, criminal database functions, drone detection, firearms training support, and electronic security. Their work directly contributes to the base’s operational readiness and strengthens this long‑standing and highly valued partnership.
